Pinnacle adds 12 Technique Specific Rods designed by Bass Pros Wolak, Crews and Myers for 2014
The new Tournament Class Perfecta 7 DHC rods were designed with continuous input from Pinnacle pro staffers Dave Wolak, John Crews and Britt Myers to closely match their individual fishing styles, and are exclusively designed for all the latest cutting-edge techniques that Wolak, Crews and Myers use in major B.A.S.S. and FLW series tournaments.
Four models were created to complement Wolak’s favorite finesse techniques, four to support Crews’ hard-charging crankbaiting, and four to facilitate Myers’ versatile power fishing approach. Each model represents a pro’s “personal dream stick” for a given technique.
In order to meet their needs, Pinnacle engineers refined their proprietary Double Helical Construction (DHC) process to produce new high-modulus graphite blanks that are extraordinarily lightweight and sensitive, yet strong and durable.
The rod actions are individually hand tuned per the pros’ specifications to ensure optimum balance and tip action for each technique. All 12 are split-grip models with high-density EVA handles for best handling in all weather conditions.
Every model is fitted with the very finest, lightest components obtainable. All have perfectly spaced Fuji® Titanium-SIC Tangle-Free K-Guides for ultimate castability and line flow. All are handcrafted using the lightest, most comfortable reel seats in the industry today: ultra-low-profile Fuji ACS seats for the casting models, and sleek Fuji VSS seats for the spinning rods, all flanked by handsome black matte hoods and anodized aluminum winding checks.

New Pinnacle Primmus Xi Hand Tuned Baitcast Reel: Super-lightweight Design
Anglers who routinely fish hard and long now have an exciting new choice in featherweight reels made for the way they fish. The Pinnacle Tournament Class Primmus Xi Hand Tuned Baitcast Reel weighs in at an amazing 5.8 ounces, yet offers all the strength and performance hardcore anglers expect from a top-of-the-line Pinnacle reel, says the company.
With its revolutionary design and strategic use of advanced materials, the Primmus Xi is significantly lighter and tougher than other reels in its class. Its extreme light weight enables an angler to fish longer and stronger, with less fatigue, for enhanced focus and productivity at all times. It also balances perfectly with today’s lightweight bass rods, for superior sensitivity at the point of attack.
This sleek new baitcast reel was meticulously designed from the ground up with two goals in mind: to maximize durability, and to eliminate all excess weight. Its powerful X-Bone 2.0 metal frame weighs 30% less than earlier versions, yet is highly effective in neutralizing the stress of combat. The lightweight REF2 carbon fiber sidecovers are incredibly rugged, designed to maintain full structural integrity, allowing the internals to align flawlessly.
Both the spool and the complete drive train of the Primmus Xi are made of tough aircraft-grade Duralumin. Extremely light and strong, this advanced material helps keep overall weight low, and performance high.
Notably, Pinnacle has opted to re-install its traditional 6-pin centrifugal cast control in the Primmus Xi. This proven system offers more brake settings than typical magnetic systems; which allows anglers throwing finesse baits or other light lures to cast with amazing precision even in windy conditions.
The Primmus Xi is equipped with Pinnacle’s powerful multi-stack carbon drag system, proven to resist slipping and chattering even under heavy pressure. Ten double-shielded stainless steel ball bearings, plus one roller bearing, set the stage for smooth long-term operation; and with its quick 6.3:1 gear ratio, the Primmus Xi is built to handle a wide range of techniques and presentations.
Every Primmus Xi is manually inspected and individually hand-tuned before it leaves the factory, to ensure optimum out-of-the-box performance. The reel arrives pre-primed for precision operation—ready to spool up and fish.
With its elegant gunmetal matte finish trimmed in red, the lightweight Primmus Xi is as easy on the eyes as it is on the wallet. The purchase includes a one-time free factory tune-up, redeemable over the life of the reel.

New Pinnacle Producer LTE Baitcast Reel: Extreme Lightweight Performance for under $100
With the sensational new 5.75-ounce Tournament Class Producer LTE Baitcast Reel from Pinnacle, value-conscious tournament anglers can finally experience the advantages of high-performance, super-lightweight fishing gear. This amazing reel, though priced under $100, is specially engineered to reduce the hand and wrist fatigue associated with all-day casting and retrieving, while enhancing overall sensitivity and balance.
Innovative design and an abundance of lightweight materials are the keys to this reel’s exceptional light weight. The Producer LTE is built on Pinnacle’s powerful X-Bone carbon frame; extremely light and strong, it supports rugged sideplates made of advanced REF2 carbon fiber material. The combination keeps body weight to an absolute minimum, while maintaining full structural rigidity even under heavy loads.
The Producer LTE’s spool and drive train are made of super-light Duralumin, a high-end alloy that’s lighter than aluminum and far stronger than brass. As a result, anglers can expect long, accurate casts followed by smooth, wobble-free retrieves.
Despite its extreme light weight and compact design, the Producer LTE provides all of the features today’s tournament angler demands. Performance enhancements include 8 double-shielded stainless steel ball bearings plus roller bearing, a powerful multi-stack drag system with audible drag star, and externally adjustable magnetic cast control for easy, “on-the-fly” resets to match changes in lure type or wind speed. Quick-release sidecovers make maintenance a snap.
The Producer LTE is fitted with a concave aluminum handle for virtually unlimited winding power. Its 6.2:1 gear ratio makes it a versatile choice for precision approaches such as drop-shotting and shaky-head fishing, as well as high-speed applications like burning a buzzbait across matted vegetation.
Clearly, the Producer LTE packs a ton of performance into its scant 5.75 ounces, and at $99.99, it’s a highly desirable choice for anyone looking to add a super-lightweight baitcaster to their arsenal, at a very affordable price, says the company.
