New Bass Tackle for 2013 from Daiwa
At the annual ICAST trade show to be held in Orlando, Florida in July 2012, vendors in the sportfishing tackle industry unveil all the new tackle they’re planning for 2013.
New STEEZ “XS” Boasts 7.9:1 Retrieve
For 2013, a new lineup of super-lightweight Magnesium frame STEEZ EX baitcasting reels are among the lightest baitcasters ever built.
• STEEZ EX “XS” 7.9:1 Hyper Speed. Nothing so fast ever weighed so little. Burning in over 33” of line with every crank, the incredible new “XS” is the fastest Steez ever – and at 6 ounces, still one of the lightest reels of its kind. Hit one target and move on to the next with less wasted time, less fatigue and more casts per day.
• STEEZ EX “HS” 7.1:1 High Speed. Lightweight 5.6 ounce. Ripping in over 29” of line per crank with power to spare, makes the new “”HS” an excellent, all-around choice for speed and power.
• STEEZ EX “H” 6.3:1 Standard Speed. Pure power in a 5.4 oz lightweight package. The powerful 6.3:1 gear ratio of the “H” means ample power for cranking those big, hard-pulling baits, while the weight savings means less fatigue on long fishing days.
New T-Wing Breaks the 8,1:1 Speed Barrier
Daiwa’s new T-Wing T3BLS100XS breaks the speed barrier with a blazing 8.1:1 gear ratio that brings in 33.9 inches of line with each turn of the handle, a very impressive number for such a compact, low-profile reel. This latest speed demon joins Daiwa’s T-Wing family of reels that utilize a unique, low-friction line guide for greater casting distance. Its wider casting aperture lets line flow through freely, with less restriction on the cast. Combined with the extra casting distance of the T-Wing levelwind system, the reel lets you cast far out to reach the good spots – and waste less time getting your line back in between targets.
AirD Baitcasting Reels a True Value in Modern Tackle
Four new Aird low-profile baitcasting reels have been added to Daiwa’s highly successful lineup of AIRD spinning reels and rods. All have been lauded as exceptional values based upon their features, quality and price. The baitcasting reels give a choice of high speed 7.1:1 retrieve, all-around 6.3:1 or a super powerful 4.9:1 retrieve. A left hand retrieve model is also available with a mid-range 6.3:1 ratio. Each carries an MSRP of just $89.95.
Each weighs just 7.7 oz, has 9 Bearing System (8BB+ 1RB), Magforce cast control and Daiwa’s Ultimate Tournament Carbon Drag with 8.8 lbs Drag Max
