New Bass Tackle for 2013 from Jackall
At the annual ICAST trade show to be held in Orlando, Florida in July 2012, vendors in the sportfishing tackle industry unveil all the new tackle they’re planning for 2013.
Jackall will be adding 2 new hard baits and one new soft bait for 2013 plus two new sizes of their Aska Squarebill crankbait.
At the last ICAST, Jackall introduced the 60mm Aska Squarebill, and now Aska’s coming out in 50mm and 70mm sizes,: says David Swendseid, product specialist for Jackall. “There’s good solid crankbait science built into these baits. I have spent a year fishing this lure series during development and giving feedback. The 50mm can be burned even faster than the 60mm or 70mm and it has amore compact profile yet runs at the same depth as the other two.”
New! Jackall Boil Trigger 100
This topwater lure mixes the features of a popper and pencil bait in one. Unique jointed two-segment body creates a realistic and erratic movement like an injured baitfish. It pops and splashes and when you twitch it, it makes a sound that calls fish from a long distance, thinking it’s an injured baitfish that’s an easy meal, says the company.
New! Jackall Topwater Jerkbait
Jackall has created another new innovative design – a topwater jerkbait. This lure will float sitting like a pencil bait and dives about one foot when reeled, but risely rapidly back to the top when reeling stops. Bass know they can trap baitfish when they swim to to the surface. This lure is designed to mimic that kind of action. When it dives, it has a cavity to trap air so it creates air bubbles like a baitfish trying to elude a predator. Until now, no fish has seen this type of action, says the company.
New! Jackall Grossy Shad
A soft-bodied paddle tail swimbait. Jackall says it may be rigged any way you’d typically rig a small swimbait or soft bait – on a jig head, shank-weighted screw-in hook, mini umbrella rig, even dropshotted.
